Primarily, my company does two things:

1. I do on-site and drop off computer hardware/software repair for Windows and Mac PCs, for both home and business users.

2. I design and build extremely power efficient green computers. These are desktop PCs (running Windows or Ubuntu) that consume between 1/3-1/2 the normal power that regular mass-market desktop computers consume. They are roughly identical in speed/performance as well as price to the machines you pick up through Dell or at a retail outlet. The difference is I have done years of research into designing the most silent and low power consumption desktops possible.

  • Thanks! — By all means please link to me in that article.

My business has two primary focuses. The first is fixing old PCs and keeping them up and running so they don’t wind up in a land fill.

The second is designing and building ultra low power PCs. There is one listed on my website, that is a tiny form factor PC using 30-40watts (average use/full power) and there is a full sized desktop PC I make for some people that uses around 40-45watts average use.

This is compared to 70-100watts in most low end (non gaming) PCs sold on the market today. Or 100-200watts for older pentium 4 generation PCs and gaming computers.

Also I have compiled a decent list of recycling organizations and contacts with Dell and HP for recycling old equipment.

    Thanks for the interest!

  • In fact, I am running a campaign through facebook and twitter, 365 Days of Lighter Living, and my focus today was on replacing old computers with economically friendly versions. I cited ecopc but it’s great to know there is a business doing this locally.

  • I think that’s an amazing business you own and I’d love to get to know more about it.
